Academy Teams Program
Our Academy Team program is the next step up from our after school program, and is offered to youth players with 2008 – 2005 DOB (U9-U12) with a heavy emphasis on player development both technically and tactically.  The program offers an after school practice along with an additional evening practice per week. If your school does not offer an after school program, we will have practice on Sunday evenings.  It is staffed by our professional coaches led by Melissa Ramsey(University Girls), Angie Mitchell(Runnels Girls), and Chris Mitchell(University Boys).
Academy Directors:Melissa Ramsey – Academy Director – USSF “A” licensed coach, only woman in LA history to play in and coach in the NCAA Women’s Div 1 Final 4.  Head Coach University High School: 2015 LA State Champs.  Head Coach Christopher Newport, Assistant Collegiate Coach at Penn State, Alabama, and Tulane.  Former UMass and Radford Collegiate Soccer player.

Angie Mitchell –  Assistant Club Director – USSF “C” licensed coach, Runnels Girls Head Coach, CCU Competitive Coach, former LSU and Mississippi State Collegiate Soccer player.

Chris Mitchell- Club Director – USSF “A” licensed coach, Head Coach University High School for 15 years, 5 time BR metro coach of the year, 2 time state runner up, former Butler University collegiate soccer player.

2008-2005 DOBs (U9-U12)
Season Length:

Fall Season:           August – October(Begins with fall mini-camp and concludes last weekend in October)

Spring Season:      January 24th – April

Fall Mini-camp:
August 6/7              Saturday morning and Sunday evening
August 13/14          Saturday morning and Sunday evening
Practices:
Regular season practice routine begins the week of January 24th
2 practices per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Games:
Played                     Mainly played on the weekends, with a majority of them played at the CCU/WBR soccer complex.
Some travel outside of BR to Livingston, Gonzales or Lafayette
Fall games             Begin in August and conclude with our Fall Fest on October 29th
Fall Fest                 Jamboree held on October 29th at the CCU/WBR soccer complex
Spring games       Begin in February and run through April
Spring Bash          Jamboree held on March 25th at the CCU/WBR soccer complex

Costs:
Fall & Spring        $400
Per season             $200

Uniforms:              Uniform kit includes 2 jerseys, practice shirt, short, socks for $60

Tournaments:  Other than the fall fest jamboree and spring bash, tournaments are optional per team and at an additional cost.
