The Capital City United Soccer Club traveled to the Lonestar State to compete in the 30th Annual Houston Labor Day Cup. CCU had four teams competing over the weekend against some of the best competition in the South. The U13 Girls were semi-finalists by winning their bracket with three wins while conceding 0 goals. It wasn’t until the Semi-Finals that the girls gave up a few goals in a hard fought game. The 15 Girls were very competitive in their three games over the weekend, falling short 1-0, 1-0, and 3-0. The U16 girls tied one game and lost two in their bracket, failing to reach the semi finals. As with the U15s, the girls fought hard and did a great job representing the club. The oldest group, the U18 Boys, won, tied and lost in their respective bracket.
Overall, it was a great weekend to be a part of CCU and the club is eager to get back to Houston next year!
